Litigation

Personal Injury - Plaintiff

In 2003 the Personal Injuries Assessment Board was set up to simplify the process of making a claim for injury, loss and damage caused by accidents whether it was a motor accident, accident at work or other situation.

Should you have an accident which was not your fault, we can make a claim on your behalf to compensate you for the injury, loss and damage caused to you. We are experienced in the whole process from the initial PIAB application to issuing proceedings in the District Court to the High Court inclusive.

Wills

One of the main reasons for making a will is to provide for your loved ones and to give direct instructions as to how you wish your property, both real and personal, to be dealt with on your death.

It does not matter if you have many assets or only a few, a will allows you to make sure that those assets are given to the people you wish to receive them.

If you are married, in civil partnership, co-habiting, separated or divorced; If you have property; These are all circumstances whereby having a will greatly simplify the administration of your estate.

We can assist you in the making of a will whatever your circumstances.

Probate

We offer a professional service administering estates, both large and small, offering a personal service at this distressful time for those bereaved.

This includes applying for the grant of probate or letters or administration, dealing with tax implications and transmission of property.

Power Of Attorney

An enduring power of attorney allows you to choose a person to manage your property and affairs should you become mentally unable to do so.

You may choose one or more persons to act for you, but you will have to decide if they are to act jointly (they must act together and cannot act separately) or jointly and severally (they can act together or they can act separately).

District Court - Licensing, Family Law, Debt Collection and Criminal

There are various district courts in the region and the local District Court in Lismore sits on the second Friday of each month.

Neil Twomey can attend and deal with any district court matter. His long experience and familiarity with the court and the official personnel involved will assist you greatly in what can sometimes be a very difficult process for most people.
